VACANCIES FOR CALLIGRAPHY TEACHERS

Vacancies for teachers for the 2025 Calligraphy Days -event that will be held from Friday to Sunday, 13.6.2025 – 15.6.2025

The Calligraphy Society of Finland is organizing the 2025 Calligraphy Days next summer in Etelä-Pohjanmaan Opisto (in South Ostrobothnia Folk High School) in Ilmajoki. We are looking for teachers for this event.

Your course/workshop can consist of anything related to calligraphy art and letters. If you like, you can present us with several options and from those we can choose one. In 2025 we will celebrate our 25th year in operation and to honor it we require the teachers to have a membership of the Calligraphy Society of Finland.

The Calligraphy Days are planned to take place starting from Friday 13.6.2025 around 3 – 5pm and ending on Sunday 15.6.2025 around 3pm. Changes might occur.

The teachers will be compensated according to the Collective agreement (Collective agreement of private education sector). Travel expenses will be compensated (based on the cheapest option) as well as the costs for the accommodation and meals at the South Ostrobothnia Folk High School during the Calligraphy Days.

Please include the following items/information to your course -/workshop proposal(s):

  • Your name and contact details (address, telephone number, email address, the
    address of your web-site if you have one)
  • A short introduction and a picture of yourself, you can also provide information about
    your career as a teacher
  • Teacher competence (the school needs this information)
  • Teaching language
  • The name of the course
  • The aim of the course and/or a description of the contents of the course
  • Skill level of participants: fresh starters / all / advanced
  • The maximum quantity of participants
  • Pictures of your work related to the theme of your course

The Calligraphy Society of Finland will make the decision of who will be chosen as teachers
by the end of the year 2024.

We will inform you immediately, as soon as the decisions on the chosen topics of the
courses/workshops and the teachers have been made.
